Activities for Non-Fishing Guests
We love the river. But we’ve got so much more to offer than just fishing. If you’re visiting us as a mixed group, or if you’ve never fished but want to come and stay – we’d love to hear from you. In the meantime, here’s a wee taste of how you could be spending your holiday in Scotland.
Escape the hustle and bustle
Want to kick back and relax by the fire, while the anglers head out on the river? If it’s a relaxing retreat from city life you’re after, there’s always a place to put your feet up in our luxury fishing lodge. Or, when the sun’s shining, you can take in the Tay Valley with a barbeque out on the deck. We’re very proud of our fishing lodge and its overhanging deck that looks out onto the river. Plus, it’s the perfect place to throw a party!
Explore on foot
If you’re prone to itchy feet, we have scenic hiking trails going right from the beat. You can amble into Dunkeld, walk along the river to Birnam to see the famous Birnam Oak or venture up to The Hermitage for a day’s walking. Dunkeld itself is full of life with an array of independent shops, boutique cafes and historic sites to explore.
Try something new
In Dunkeld and Pitlochry, you can try everything from white water rafting and gorge walking, to horse riding and historic tours. Check out what’s on offer in our local area.
Learn to fish
And if you do feel like casting a line, we can give you professional fishing tuition right here on the beat. Why not take a fly fishing course?
